The Tourism Commission Urges Investors in the Accommodation Sector to Quickly Register at the National Platform for Tourist Monitoring 
 
The Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage has urged all investors in the tourist accommodation sector in the Kingdom to quickly register at the national platform for tourist monitoring, noting that the final date for registering at the e-platform will be with the end of Tuesday December 17, 2019. 

The Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage had set a grace period of 90 days for investors in the tourist accommodation sector in all regions of the Kingdom to register at the national platform, https://ntmp.gov.sa/​, for tourist monitoring and complete the electronic connection process. 

Director General of the General Administration for Licenses at the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage Engineer Abdul Karim Al Oumi said that if the aforementioned period for registration ends, the system will be applied according to the executive regulations against violating sides that had not registered and completed the electronic connection at the platform during the period, noting that the grace period will end on Tuesday December 17, 2019. 

Al Oumi stressed that completing the electronic connection for tourist accommodation facilities will help in following up on the tourist activities, where the platform will contribute to developing the quality of the provided tourist services and stimulating investments in the sector through offering accurate and real-time information on the tourist activities in the Kingdom, as well as having easy and quick access to required information and statistics, something which guarantees accuracy and high quality of the information and statistics related to the tourist accommodation facilities.  

The Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage had previously stressed the great importance of the electronic national platform  for tourist monitoring, which provides comprehensive information that can contribute to offering information to investors in the tourism sector and help them build their marketing campaigns, where the commission, later, will work on utilizing the information and data that had been inserted into the platform to develop the tourism sector in the Kingdom and develop the experience of the tourists, in addition to making sure of providing all tourist services in a competitive manner to improve the status of the Kingdom to become one of the distinguished tourist destinations in the world.  

The national platform for tourist monitoring oversees that performance of all tourist activities, including the accommodation and tourist movement, which make the platform an accredited centre for statistics and data related to the tourism sector in the Kingdom, with the aim of providing accurate and transparent statistical information. 

Upon inaugurating the platform, the commission has sought to raise awareness in the platform through holding a series of workshops in a number of regions of the Kingdom with the participation of technical service providers at accommodation facilities and other tourist services. The commission had received rehabilitation applications for having authority to apply for receiving the electronic connection services through the platform.​
