Listing the Soudah season in Asir as part of the 2019 Saudi Seasons Initiative
The Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage has announced accrediting and listing the Soudah Season in Asir as part of the 2019 Saudi Seasons Initiative that was launched in last February with 11 tourist seasons that cover most of the Kingdom's regions. The initiative is considered the first step of its kind at the regional level and aims at pushing forward the inbound tourism development process in the Kingdom, where the 2019 Saudi Seasons included the East Region Season, the holy month of Ramadan, Eid Al Fitr, Jeddah, Taef, Eid Al Adha, the National Day, Riyadh, Daryiyyeh, Al Ola and Hael.

Listing the Soudah Season as part of the 2019 Saudi Seasons, whose activities will be in Thul Hijja 1440 h, corresponding to August, 2019, is due to the geographical nature of the Soudah area in Asir and the beautiful natural landscapes that include beautiful forests, heights with magnificent views and distinguished climate, in addition to the tourist, sports and entertainment elements, especially that the Soudah Mountain is the highest point in the Kingdom.

His Excellency Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage has stressed that the 2019 Saudi Seasons aim at improving the tourism development process, activating the tourism sector, nourishing the capabilities of the relevant sectors and providing permanent and temporary jobs in the sector, noting that the program is one the initiatives that aim at developing the quality of the lives of citizens and building a vital society, especially that the Kingdom is full of important tourist elements, including the gorgeous natural landscapes, the indigenous Arab culture, prestigious historical sites, and developed infrastructures, which will contribute to increasing the volume of expenditure at the local level, enhancing the economic activity and supporting the sectors related to the tourism sector.

It is worth mentioning that the "2019 Saudi Seasons" initiative is the result of efforts of several public institutions under the leadership of a higher committee headed by His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince, deputy prime minister and chairman of the Council for Economic and Development Affairs and chairman of the events committee. The committee includes the Ministry of Culture, the General Entertainment Authority, and the General Sports Authority, the general commission for exhibitions and conventions and in coordination with all specialized institutions.

The first station of the 2019 Saudi Seasons initiative was the Eastern Season, which was launched last month and attracted more than three million visitors from inside and outside the Kingdom, which made it a point of interest for all, and was followed by the Ramadan Season that is ongoing throughout the holy month.
