The UNTW Secretary General discusses with Al Khateeb ways of Co-operation between KSA
His Excellency Mr. Ahmed bin Aqil Al Khateeb, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage, met with HE Mr. Zurab Pololikashvili, Secretary General of the World Tourism Organization, where they discussed a number of areas and joint cooperation programs between the SCTH and the UNWT, expanding cooperation and partnership between the two sides, as well as future efforts to support and develop the tourism sector in the KSA.
The Secretary-General of the World Tourism Organization praised the Kingdom's international tourism projects implemented as part of the Saudi Arabia Vision 2030, announced by His Highness the Crown Prince, which include al-Qadiya project, the Red Sea and other mega projects such as Al-Ula, Al-Diriyah Gate and other projects intended to place Saudi Arabia on the global tourism gate, stressing the UNTW's interest in these projects and supporting them to achieve the Kingdom's vision of becoming a major international tourist destination in the region.
The Secretary-General of the World Tourism Organization congratulated HE Mr. Ahmed bin Aqil Al-Khateeb on the Royal trust in appointing him as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage.
HE the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the SCTH invited HE the Secretary General of the World Tourism Organization to visit Saudi Arabia and to see the latest tourism projects and events. The Secretary General of the UNTW expressed his thanks for this invitation, confirming paying this visit at the earliest opportunity.
