​At the Invitation of The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the SCTH, Members of the Executive Ministerial Committee of the (Strategy of Resolve) Visit “Roads to Arabia” Expo at Louvre Abu Dhabi Museum

On Thursday, January 17, 2019, the Executive Ministerial Committee members of the “Strategy Meeting” visited ‘Roads to Arabia, Archaeological Treasures of the Saudi Arabia Through the Ages’ exhibition organized by the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage at Louvre Abu Dhabi Museum.

The visit was made at the invitation of His Excellency Mr. Ahmed bin Aqil al Khateeb​, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage, member of the Executive Ministerial Committee of the (Strategy of Resolve).

The members of the Executive Ministerial Committee of the “Strategy of Resolve” were received by HE the Chairman of the Board of  Directors of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage and a number of the officials at the SCTH and Louvre Abu Dhabi Museum.

Their Excellency toured the Exhibition where they listened to an explanation about the Expo’s artifacts that cover the period that dates from the Paleolithic period (one million years BC) to the pre-Islamic ancient periods, and then the early, middle and late Arab Kingdoms, passing through the middle and late Islamic periods until the emergence of the Saudi State in its three phases to the reign of King Abdul Aziz (may Allah have mercy on him) founder of the modern Saudi State.

Their Excellency the Ministers praised the rare archaeological pieces presented at the Exhibition that highlight the historical and cultural heritage of Saudi Arabia and the Arabian Peninsula, stressing that the Exhibition represents one of the most prominent activities and exhibitions exchanged between the two fraternal countries in the framework of close and distinct cooperation between them.
 
 
 
‘Roads to Arabia, Archaeological Treasures of Saudi Arabia Across the Ages” Exhibition,  organized by  the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Heritage, is considered one of the most important global Saudi  exhibitions that introduced the cultural heritage of Saudi Arabia and the  Arabian Peninsula to more than five million visitors from all over the world through holding the Exhibition in the most famous museums of the world in the cities and capitals of Europe, America and Asia, where the Exhibition which was launched in the Louvre Museum in Paris (13,July,2010) was an important and vital opportunity to inform the world of the civilizations of Saudi Arabia and the Arabian Peninsula and its rich heritage of civilization, and the civilization and heritage  elements  extended through the ages.

The (Fifteenth Edition) of the Exhibition held at the “Louvre Abu Dhabi” museum is the largest and most prominent of the previous stops as 466 artefacts were added to reflect some of the living patterns of the common civilizations within the Arabian Peninsula.

His Royal Highness Sheikh Hamed bin Zayd Al-Nahyan, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court on behalf of His Highness Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of UAE Armed Forces inaugurated on Wednesday, 7,Nov,2018 the Exhibition in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdelaziz, President of the Saudi Commission for Tourism And National Heritage and His Royal Highness Sheikh Abdallah bin Zayd Al-Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs at UAE.
