The Kingdom participates in the 2019 Arabian Travel Market exhibition in Dubai
His Excellency Mr. Ahmad bin Aqil Al Khateeb, chairman of the board of directors of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage, in the presence of Sheikh Ahmad bin Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, president of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation, on Sunday opened the Kingdom's pavilion participating in the 26th version of the Arabian Travel Market exhibition in Dubai, which will continue for four days.
The Kingdom's pavilion provides a comprehensive view on the Saudi tourism through the participating sides, including institutions that participate for the first time, in addition to reviewing mega tourism and entertainment projects in the Kingdom, such as NEOM, the Red Sea, Amaala and the Dariya city gate commission, as well as the Saudi Seasons initiative platform, with the participation of several organizers of tourist trip.
The pavilion also provides an opportunity for visitors, whether investors, businesspeople, media representatives or guests, to get acquainted with investment opportunities available in the tourist and heritage fields, in addition to investment opportunities in the tourist sector in the Kingdom.
Specialists in the tourism sector who visited the pavilion expressed their admiration of the uniqueness of the Saudi pavilion in the exhibition, especially that it highlights the tourist, heritage and cultural tourist sites in the Kingdom through utilizing modern technologies in the design of the pavilion and enriching its contents with developed and attractive presentations.
His Excellency Mr. Ahmad bin Aqil Al Khateeb, chairman of the board of directors of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage, in a press statement, stressed that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his Crown Prince offer support to the tourism sector for its being a part of the Saudi Vision 2030, which focuses on enhancing the diversity of developing the gross domestic product including the tourism sector, due to what it provides of new job opportunities and improvement in the quality of life, and in support to enrich the tourist experiment that the Kingdom enjoys with all its regions.
His Excellency the chairman of the board of directors of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage referred to the solid relations between the Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates, noting that there is coordination between the two countries in various fields and explaining that the tourism sector receives a big coordination between the two countries with the aim of marketing tourism and drawing flexible regulations that allow visitors of either country to visit the another.
On the sidelines of the exhibition, His Excellency the chairman of the board of directors of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage met with several tourism officials, where he met with Egyptian Tourism Minister Rania Al-Mashat and Lebanese Tourism Minister Avedis Guidanian and discussed with them means to enhance cooperation in the tourism field. He also met with a number of investors in the hotel sector and other tourism fields.
It is worth mentioning that the Arabian Travel Market forum is a good opportunity for tourist companies to access international markets, and is also considered an international event, where it welcomes more than 40,000 visitors of specialists in the travel sector, government officials, and representatives of international media outlets, with the aim of communication and exploring the most recent trends in the tourism sector.
